The highly anticipated opening of Eataly in West Palm Beach is almost one week away, marking the nineteenth North American location for the Italian food hall and marketplace. Officially opening its doors on Friday, December 5 at 7:30 p.m., Eataly West Palm Beach and Related Ross will host a ‘Notte Bianca’ grand opening with live music, complimentary tastings, and late-night shopping. West Palm Beach is Eataly’s second Florida store after its Aventura location opened earlier this year.
The CityPlace downtown West Palm Beach location will feature its signature aspects of food and retail, while also introducing a new concept to North America. Spanning over 23,000 square feet inside a century-old historic hall, Eataly West Palm Beach will offer a mix of experiences that includes the brand’s first performance stage in North America, two distinct restaurant concepts, several quick-service counters, a curated retail selection, and a cooking school.

A Historic Space Brings An Innovative Concept
Built in downtown West Palm Beach’s historic Harriet Himmel Hall, this 1920s landmark has long served as the cultural heart of CityPlace. It originally served the community as a church and performance hall, and today the building’s architecture forms the foundation for the Eataly marketplace. Eataly and local real estate group Related Ross collaborated closely with the City of West Palm Beach and preservation teams on this project, which honors the hall’s storied past while introducing a vibrant, contemporary energy.
“This beloved landmark has been reimagined to blend culture, cuisine, and community, creating an experience that is both inspiring and uniquely West Palm Beach. We’re proud to welcome Eataly as part of this next chapter,” Kenneth A. Himmel, President of Related Ross, said in a statement. Eataly West Palm Beach celebrates the Italian Art of Living by combining the building’s history and architecture. Working with Eataly’s in-house design team, the space has been reimagined as a living intersection of Italian heritage, food, and community.
West Palm Beach also marks a first for Eataly in North America: a performance stage built directly into the marketplace, allowing guests to enjoy live programming, including music, culinary demonstrations, and other entertainment, in a one-of-a-kind setting. In true Eataly form, the store will feature “La Scuola,” a dedicated cooking school offering hands-on classes, workshops, and more, as part of the brand’s philosophy: “eat, shop, and learn.”

Mangia, Mangia
Eataly West Palm Beach will be home to two of the brand’s iconic restaurant concepts, La Pizza & La Pasta and Il Pastaio. La Pizza & La Pasta serves Neapolitan pizza and regional pastas and features a full bar program, while Il Pastaio — which translates to “pasta maker” in Italian — celebrates the craft of fresh pasta. Guests will be able to watch expert pastai in action as they shape a variety of traditional pasta forms by hand. Il Pastaio will seat 20 indoors and more than 60 along the outdoor patio, while La Pizza & La Pasta will offer over 190 seats across its indoor and outdoor spaces.
For something to take home — whether to stock your own kitchen or to gift — Eataly’s marketplace offers a wide array of “Made in Italy” products, including EVOO, pasta, sauces, and wines representing all 20 regions of the country, along with special-occasion luxuries like fresh truffles, caviar, and panettone, the iconic holiday bread. The market will also feature a fresh counter offering housemade pasta, premium cuts of meat, and deli favorites like salumi and formaggi sliced to order.
For a taste of Italy when on the go, Eataly’s quick-service counters will provide a range of classics: Lavazza for all-day caffè and espresso drinks; La Pasticceria for croissants, pastries, and baked goods; Il Gelato for gelato and sorbetto creations; and Pizza alla Pala, a counter offering Roman-style pizza, panini, and stuffed farcita sandwiches ready to take with you. Early next year, Eataly West Palm Beach will introduce a comprehensive catering and private dining program, offering customizable options throughout the entire Eataly experience.

The Grand Opening
Will you step up to support New Times this year?
At New Times, we’re small and scrappy — and we make the most of every dollar from our supporters. Right now, we’re $17,800 away from reaching our December 31 goal of $30,000. If you’ve ever learned something new, stayed informed, or felt more connected because of New Times, now’s the time to give back.
The opening festivities kick off with “Notte Bianca” on December 5, followed by a ribbon-cutting ceremony the next morning. The ribbon cutting is scheduled for 10 a.m., and the first 100 guests to arrive will receive complimentary gifts. In the spirit of the season, the team will continue the celebrations with “10 Days of Celebration,” featuring product sampling, entertainment, and daily activations.
Between fresh pasta and other authentic meals, shelves stocked with Italian delicacies, cooking classes, live music, and more, Eataly West Palm Beach aims to become an anchor for entertainment and culture in CityPlace.
