$7,500

If you’ve been on the beach (or at the South Beach Wine & Food Festival) too much recently, it’s time to add a little culture to your diet, at New Times‘ fifth annual Artopia.

Tomorrow, Thursday, February 28, from 7 to 10 p.m., the Coral Gables Museum will transform into an epic celebration of art, music, film, fashion, and culture as all these world collide — with cocktails.

Winners of MasterMind Awards, $1,000 grants given to local artists who show promise in the arts community, will also be announced at the event.

The evening will also feature live performances by Palo!, the Larry Joe Miller Band, Cirque
X, breakdancing troupe Ground Zero Crew, a fashion show by Isabel Riera, and a theatrical performance by Roofless Records. You’ll also get to meet Miss Elaine Lancaster.

But you’re reading this food blog for a reason. Don’t worry — you won’t go hungry at Artopia, because serving fantastic bites will be ten local restaurants, including Bonding, Baklava Factory, Delicacy, CinéBistro, Catalina’s Bake Shop, Azucar, Devon Seafood & Steak, Machiya, Two Sisters, and Doggi’s. VIPs will dine from these additional restaurants: Dome, Bread + Butter; Daily Melt, Pao Town, Chef Adrianne’s, and Sushi Maki.

General admission tickets cost $25 in advance and $35 at the door. Go VIP and get access to the VIP lounge with open bar, additional restaurants, and cigar rolling for $45 in advance and $55 at the door. Purchase tickets here.
