fordsgarageusa.comFord’s Garage, the neighborhood burger and brew restaurant where guests fuel up on nostalgia and classic comfort food, is now open at Plantation Walk. Founded in 2012 and franchised since 2015, Ford’s Garage opened its first location in Fort Myers, less than a mile from Henry Ford’s winter home, and has expanded to include 24 locations across six states. The 1920s garage-themed burger and craft beer restaurant operates as an official licensee of the Ford Motor Company, enabling the use of the iconic blue logo alongside servers wearing mechanic shirts, blue shop towels used as napkins, and bathroom sinks made from tires and fuel pump nozzles – there’s even a Model A car suspended above the center bar. Here, burgers are a prime attraction. Selections are crafted with Black Angus beef and continue the automotive theme with names like “Model A” and “High Octane,” alongside vegan and vegetarian options. The menu offers American comfort food options from pork ribs, chicken wings, and chicken tenders to salads, grilled chicken, and seafood, as well as “sidecars” like onion rings and mac & cheese. Diners can top off their meal with desserts that cover everything from milkshakes to key lime pie. Monday through Thursday 11 a.m. to 10 p.m., Friday and Saturday 11 a.m. to 11 p.m., and Sunday 10:30 a.m. to 11 p.m.

The restaurant, located on the second floor of the Arsht Center’s Ziff Ballet Opera House, is billing itself as the ultimate dining destination for pre-show meals and celebrations. A dining room designed by Johanna Dilone, creative director of Miami’s Gilded Group Decor, sets the stage for the restaurant, offering an array of chef-driven, New American dishes with European and Latin influences from executive chef Jose Danger. A prix-fixe menu includes a choice of one appetizer and entrée, or one entrée and dessert, along with a number of sides or a choice of an Á la carte menu. Choose from Thai coconut curry mussels or a house-smoked salmon dip, then continue with a steak tartare “Big Mac” burger and cioppino, a fisherman’s stew with rich tomato broth, mahi-mahi, mussels, and shrimp served with grilled sourdough. A 12-seat bar serves a robust menu of beer, wine by Gerard Bertrand, Champagne, specialty coffee drinks, and a selection of signature cocktails, including Teatro’s signature espresso martini, a flavorful combination of vodka, espresso, and Cazadores café. The bar also offers an a la carte food menu for more casual dining. Open before select performances at the Ziff Ballet Opera House or Knight Concert Hall. Walk-ins are accepted based on availability.
