Coconut Grove is quickly becoming a hub for frozen Greek yogurt enthusiasts.
The latest Greek yogurt spot hitting the neighborhood is Tata’s Yogurt Bar, which officially opened its doors on February 3 at 2992 McFarlane Rd., taking over the former Juicense space just across from CocoWalk.

A European Yogurt Bar Vibe
The menu centers on a homemade Greek frozen yogurt base that skips refined sugar entirely, using raw honey as a natural sweetener instead. One specific dish serves as the house specialty, featuring tart yogurt topped with Greek olive oil, honey, and Maldon sea salt flakes. Other healthy toppings are also available, like almond butter and fresh fruit.
The shop marks the first restaurant venture for founder Rafaella Pastor Ferrari, who named the business in tribute to her grandfather. While the shop functions as a counter-service spot, Ferrari designed the interior with booth seating and a calm environment meant for guests who want to stay a while. The goal was to move away from the typical froyo chain aesthetic toward an upscale, design-forward vibe.
“Our product is grab and go, but we put a lot of effort into creating a very good atmosphere where people can sit, work, grab a coffee, and stay for a while,” Ferrari told Business Debut last year. This European-inspired approach positions the shop as a neighborhood hangout where you can grab a matcha or a coffee alongside your yogurt.
Smoothies and “Miami” Flavors
The shop also features a dedicated smoothie list with very local names. The “Perolike” blends banana, peanut butter, and raw cacao, while the “Boat Days” features blue spirulina and almond butter. For something more tropical, there is the “Day Jams” with mango, passion fruit, and orange juice, or the “Flamingo” made with pitaya and coconut milk. Guests can customize their drinks with add-ons like protein, collagen, or extra yogurt.
Beyond the frozen bowls, morning options include overnight oats and chia pudding. The kitchen also bakes treats like dark chocolate brownies and coffee cake for those who want a more decadent dessert. For hot Miami afternoons, the shop features fresh coconuts with the water still inside.
Tata’s adds to the neighborhood’s growing list of yogurt concepts, following the opening of Go Greek just a few blocks away last October.
