$7,500

Coral Gables is officially getting a new happy hour spot. Moxies, the Canadian-born restaurant known for its globally inspired menu and always-busy atmosphere, has signed a lease for a massive new outpost at 93 Miracle Mile. According to a report from the Real Deal, the restaurant is taking over a prime corner lot previously occupied by a Navarro Discount Pharmacy.

The move follows successful runs in Florida in Brickell, Fort Lauderdale, and West Palm Beach. While those locations moved into existing developments, the Gables project plans to demolish the current structure to create a two-story flagship designed from the pavement up. This 18,800-square-foot build marks the company’s first fully built-out location in the United States.

Demolition and permitting are expected to take about six months, with construction following for another fifteen.

A Two-Story Oasis on the Mile

Early architectural filings describe a mammoth venue with enough space to host nearly 400 guests simultaneously. The first floor will house a main dining room with seating for 150, alongside a 25-seat bar and an outdoor patio. The second level adds another 130 seats, split between an indoor dining area and a sprawling rooftop terrace.

This second-story terrace is a key addition for Miracle Mile, which has traditionally lacked the rooftop energy found in neighborhoods like Wynwood or Brickell. With private dining rooms on both floors, the space is clearly being built to handle the corporate and celebratory group bookings that drive the Gables’ weekday economy.

Scratch-Made Classics and Sweets

The menu at Moxie’s leans into sophisticated comfort food, featuring hits like “Chicken Madeira Rigatoni” and “Tuna Sushi Stacks.” You can also expect the “Steak Bites,” marinated sirloin served with a sharp Dijon-horseradish aioli, which has become a happy-hour staple at their other outposts.

The real favorite for many, however, is the dessert. The “White Chocolate Brownie” is the finale here, arriving warm and topped with chocolate sauce and French vanilla ice cream.

The kitchen is designed to transition from a sleek lunch spot into a late-night venue, a strategy that has served the brand well in the high-traffic corridors of Las Olas and Mary Brickell Village.

Moxies features a Sticky Toffee Pudding on its dessert menu, served warm with a rich buttery caramel sauce, whiskey crème anglaise, candied pecans, and a scoop of French vanilla ice cream.

Moxies isn’t the only newcomer on the Mile. David Chang’s fried chicken concept, Fuku, recently opened at 135 Miracle Mile, and Mitch’s Downtown Bagel Cafe is slated to bring its New York-style deli offerings to Alhambra Circle.

Demolition and permitting are expected to take about six months, with construction following for another fifteen.

If the current timeline holds, Moxies will open its doors in late 2027.
