The challenges facing local news organizations are very real. That's why reader support matters more than ever. If you believe independent journalism matters, make a contribution today and help us reach our summer fundraising goal of $10,000 by August 9.
Miss Saigon, the popular veteran Vietnamese restaurant from Coral Gables, quietly opened a second, smaller branch on Washington Avenue today — less than an hour ago, actually. The space is quaint, the menu extensive — including bánh mì sandwiches, which should prove popular in this neighborhood. Also on the menu are hearty pho soups, salads, steamed rice noodle buns with various toppings, and all sorts of chicken, shrimp, beef, and pork entrées. Bánh mì sandwiches are $7.95; phos go for $9.95; and main courses range from $9.95 to $18.95. Short Order will bring you a preview, with photos, next Tuesday.
