The challenges facing local news organizations are very real. That's why reader support matters more than ever. If you believe independent journalism matters, make a contribution today and help us reach our summer fundraising goal of $10,000 by August 9.
Chef Michael Schwartz’s cookbook isn’t due out for a couple of months but, to coincide with Art Basel, the restaurant is showing a behind-the-scenes look at what went into putting the book together. A short film, produced by the book’s photographer, Ben Fink, will be screened at the restaurant’s back parking lot starting Thursday. And there will be free tequila.
We’re serious. On the inaugural screening day, Casa Dragones will offer complimentary sips of its Blue Agave Joven Tequila for film viewers – while supplies last. With Art Basel going on we wonder how long that will be …
Anyway, aside from a first look at the book’s photographs and
recipes, the film also includes funny outtakes and footage of Schwartz visiting Teena’s
Pride farm and fishing with Trigger Seafood.
The film will be screened continuously from 7 p.m. to midnight
Thursday, December 2 through Saturday, December 4, but the free tequila
will only be served on Thursday.
