December 2025 will go down as one of the wildest and most fast-paced months Miami’s dining scene has seen in months. Nineteen new restaurants, pop-ups, breweries, speakeasies, expansions, and reopenings launched across Miami, Miami Beach, Fort Lauderdale, and the Redlands. Yes, the Redlands. It’s the kind of volume that would normally unfold over an entire season, condensed into just a few packed holiday weeks. From speakeasy sushi counters and rooftop cocktail lounges to plant-based imports, smash-burger cult favorites, and South Florida icons making nostalgic returns, the range of restaurants reflects a city that continues to evolve in real time. Miami did not wind down for the holidays. It accelerated.

Among December’s most notable debuts were highly anticipated openings such as Ezio’s in North Beach, Ted’s Burgers in Wynwood, JaJaJa Mexicana in Wynwood, Eight Bar at Miami Worldcenter, Cha Cha Cha in Wynwood, and Tín Tín Miami in Coral Gables. The month also delivered major expansions and comebacks, including Fiorito Almacén, the Gibson Room with a Miami Slice residency, Gold Standard Omakase’s new Sunset Harbour home, the extended Caracas Bakery pop-up, and the reopening of Knaus Berry Farm, along with many more new arrivals across South Florida.

Unlike its tighter locations, this iteration features a spacious, breezy outdoor lounge and patio with couches, shade, and greenery, making it a pet- and stroller-friendly setup that encourages guests to linger rather than grab and go. 1801 West Ave., Miami Beach; caracasbakery.com.

Founded by cousins Patricio and Javier Hernández, the new location aims to be a cozy, neighborhood-style destination that guests can frequent regularly, reflecting Miami’s growing appetite for refined yet relaxed dining experiences. 2637 N.
