With headliners gracing Mia almost on a weekly basis, this new kid on the block has already established itself as a legit nightlife venue. Located on the corner of Biscayne and Flagler, the downtown mega-lounge offers indoor and outdoor seating, multiple bars, and a pretty sick vibe.
Inside, plush velvet-like red and orange couches act as dining seating, while tear drop chandeliers hang overhead. The first floor features two bars and a massive, full wall television. The outdoor seating area and bar has a luna feel, with orange lanterns, red pop-up umbrellas, and bamboo-style chairs. The terrace offers a direct view of Bayfront Park but don’t expect tranquility; the sounds of traffic and city life are rather abundant.
For the true workaholic, the venue also offers free WiFi inside and outside.

My drink order included a signature Blackstone Cocktail (Imperia, Amaretto, raspberry liqueur, pineapple juice, and raspberry juice). With the happy hour deal, the normally $12 drink was now $6. To eat, I opted for croquetas (ham, Manchego cheese, and chives) for $7. Surprisingly they were round, but still tasted like Latin-style snacks one would expect. Overall, Mia offers an extensive drink and food menu, including beers, wines, cocktails, small plates, rolls, and tapas. A few standouts included the Patatas Bravas ($6), Edible Cocktails ($10) and sushi rolls starting at $10. With an attractive, multilingual but attentive staff, and abundant parking along Biscayne (or valet), it wouldn’t hurt to “beat the traffic” as their Twitter insists and have a drink…or two.
