Megan Thee Stallion has officially brought the “Hot Girl” lifestyle to Miami, and this time, it is not a concert, a festival cameo, or a surprise club drop-in. It’s her juicy fried chicken and signature sauce.

On New Year’s Eve, the Grammy-winning superstar celebrated the grand opening of her very first Popeyes franchise in South Beach, marking a major new chapter in her partnership with the brand and a full-circle moment for her signature “Hottie Sauce,” which first debuted in 2021 and instantly became a cultural event of its own (she even recorded a “Mukbang” video of her trying the sauce).

In April of 2025, the artist and entrepreneur took to TikTok to share the excitement of her upcoming Popeyes franchise location in Miami. In the TikTok, she says, “I wear many hats. When I’m in the [recording] booth, I wear that hat. When I’m at Popeyes, I wear this hat.” Now, her long-awaited Popeyes franchise is finally open, and she’s ready to get down to business.

Megan Thee Franchise Owner

If her original collaboration with Popeyes was all about flavor, personality, and internet-breaking hype, this newest move is all about ownership. Megan is now officially a Popeyes franchise owner, planting her flag in one of Miami’s buzziest neighborhoods while doubling down on her commitment to entrepreneurship and Black women in business.

And she’s not taking her role lightly. On opening day, the Houston native made sure to learn the names of every single employee as soon as the grand opening event started, despite a store manager telling her it was unnecessary. In a video posted to Thee Stallion’s TikTok, a manager says, “You don’t need to know everyone’s names.” Her response? “Oh, yes, I do.” What a boss. “Samir? Love the name Samir. Oh, you’re Rick? Heyy Rick!” she exclaims with excitement like a great boss.

The Grammy winner has long positioned her “Hot Girl” mantra as a celebration of confidence and ambition, and opening a restaurant in South Beach feels like the kind of bold, joyful power move that fits perfectly within that universe.

“Thee Littest” Grand Opening

The grand opening felt like a party in true Hot Girl fashion. Megan arrived to greet her staff, hype up the team, and even step behind the counter to serve customers herself. Fans gathered outside, phones in hand, while inside, the energy felt equal parts celebration and day-one hustle. She told her team, “This is going to be the best experience for me, and hopefully for y’all, because I’m going to be coming up in here acting a fool and I’m going to try to see what y’all got going on in here,” making everyone laugh. “I hope this is a fun job, and I hope everyone has a blast!”

On Instagram, she shared clips from the launch and called it “Thee Littest Popeyes,” thanking her supporters and proudly announcing that she was officially a franchise owner. “Prepping Thee Hot Staff before Thee official first ever Megan Thee Stallion Popeyes opened!,” she wrote, inviting Miami locals to stop by and dine with her crew in South Beach.

It is not just a celebrity side gig. It is a carefully built expansion of her business footprint, one that blends star power with strategy. For Megan, franchising represents economic leadership, creative branding, and a path toward long-term equity. By stepping into ownership rather than simply endorsing a product, she is carving out space in an industry where Black women have historically been underrepresented.

What to Expect at “Thee” South Beach Popeyes

And of course, this Popeyes comes with plenty of personality. While New Times can’t guarantee Megan will be there to take your order (she was hilarious at taking orders on opening day), Popeyes fans can expect the brand’s signature crispy chicken, Hottie Sauce nostalgia, Miami sunshine, and a little sprinkle of Hot Girl magic. The rapper’s fans showed up. The staff looked thrilled. The vibe felt celebratory in a way only Miami knows how to do on opening day.

From sauce collaborator to franchise owner, Megan Thee Stallion has turned a viral partnership into a full-fledged entrepreneurial milestone. Now, South Beach officially has “Thee Popeyes,” and it’s serving Hot Girl energy with a side of biscuits.
