A third Greek frozen yogurt shop has opened in Miami in the span of two months, and frozen yogurt fans in the Magic City are ecstatic. Earlier this fall, Go Greek Yogurt opened in Coconut Grove after a successful launch in downtown Miami, and just last month, Meli opened in Miami Shores! Miami is having a full-blown “froyo” renaissance, and it was long overdue.
This week, it gets even better. Madrid’s fast-growing Greek frozen yogurt brand, Myka, has picked South Beach for its first U.S. shop. The new location opened on December 9 inside the Lincoln Theatre on Lincoln Road, where the company serves what it calls Greek yogurt ice cream and Greek frozen yogurt.
The concept focuses on a thicker, yogurt-forward dessert made from real Greek yogurt, milk, and kefir, with a format closer to an ice cream parlor than a self-serve froyo chain.
From Madrid to Miami Beach
Myka started in Madrid, founded by Natalia Morales and Javier Ezquerro, who set out to build a dessert shop centered on Greek yogurt rather than the sweeter formulas common in older frozen yogurt brands.
Their recipe uses premium Greek yogurt imported weekly from Greece, blended with pasteurized milk and kefir. The mix keeps probiotics and protein while giving the dessert a dense, creamy texture and a tangy flavor profile.

Every Myka location follows an in-store “workshop” model, and the Miami Beach flagship is no exception. Staff make the frozen yogurt and ice cream on site and prepare most toppings daily. That list includes fruit compotes, house granolas, crunchy crumbles, and a baklava topping that appears often in the brand’s photos and videos.
Guests start by choosing a base. Options include Classic Greek Frozen Yogurt made with goat’s kefir, rotating seasonal flavors, and fruit-forward sorbets. The sorbets provide vegan and lactose-free choices.
From there, customers customize with toppings that lean Mediterranean. The brand highlights ingredients such as pistachio, honey, extra-virgin olive oil, granola, and baklava, setting it apart from chains that focus on candy bar pieces and syrups.

A Global Flagship in Miami
The Miami Beach shop doubles as Myka’s U.S. flagship. It sits inside Robert Rivani’s Lincoln Theatre, a historic Art Deco building on Lincoln Road. In a short period, the company grew from a local Madrid shop into an international chain. Coverage places MYKA at more than 160 stores across about 16 countries in Europe, Latin America, and the Middle East. The brand has developed a “cult favorite” reputation abroad, with frequent lines and extensive social media attention.
Myka describes the Lincoln Road space as a design-forward flagship that reflects a Mediterranean sensibility and modern craftsmanship. The interior is built around a compact counter, the toppings bar, and a visible production area that supports the “workshop” idea.
Following the Miami Beach opening, Myka plans to expand into additional U.S. and Latin American markets in 2026. Exact cities and opening dates have not been announced.
Myka. 551 Lincoln Rd., No. 5, Miami Beach; 645-248-8122. Open daily until midnight.
