If you’ve recently driven past the billboard on the corner of South Dixie Highway and SW 27th Avenue — you know, the one that typically tells you that if you lived in the Grove, you’d be home — you might have noticed it now advertises a restaurant.
“Lulu,” it reads, “coming spring 2010, a new sidewalk café in the heart of the Grove.”
Of course, that piqued our interest, but the restaurant’s website is only a mirror image of the billboard, so it didn’t quell our curiosity. At the Coconut Grove Business Improvement District offices, we were told the owners of Greenstreet Café own Lulu, which will be located on Commodore Plaza.
We tried unsuccessfully to reach Greenstreet Café owner Sylvano Bignon and finally spoke to Greenstreet manager Eric Boucher, who told us it was “premature” to discuss the restaurant.
Anyone know what this is about?
