Dinnertime food truck round-ups are awesome for the indecisive among us — especially as they continue to swell in size. Still, the only thing missing from the city’s local food-truck scene is a regular circuit of late-night party munchies. The Electric Pickle-loving Montaco aside, it’s hard to find mobile snacks around past, say, 11 p.m.
So this Saturday, if you’re still hungry after the regular weekly Wynwood truck meetup — or if you’re still running on serious Miami time, you can catch a small handful of trucks after hours in Wynwood.
The “I Love NY” party at Soho Studios in Wynwood is being billed as an art walk afterparty with live graffiti, a streetwear fashion show, and music (and videos) from the reliable party-starter VJ Tom Laroc.
But if the complimentary cocktails from 9 to 10 p.m. get you, no fear. Three trucks will also be parked there to help you carb-ify away the booze: Ms. Cheezious, Miso Hungry, and personal favorites Dolci Peccati. In addition, Miso Hungry will be rolling out two new vegetarian dishes. One is stir-fry of rice noodles, edamame, red onions, peppers, carrots, snow pees, and a sweet chili soy sauce; the other is a curry vegetable empanada.
