Knaus Berry Farm (15980 SW 248th Street Homestead, FL 305-247-0668) is open for business from mid-November to late April every year and has been selling their world famous milkshakes and cinnamon buns for at least 34 years. The farm is owned and operated by the Knaus family who are from a German Baptist sect known as Dunkers. Many people mistake them for Amish based on their distinct, old school style. Knaus Berry Farm keeps it real. Of produce there’s none fresher, of buns, none stickier, of distinct Dade landmarks, you’d be hard pressed to find one that brings so many people of disparate cultures and communities together over oven fresh goodness. Words are stupid, here are the pictures.
