Sunset Harbour Shops is Miami Beach’s hottest address, and Jugofresh owners Matthew Sherman and Darren Laszlo are apparently planning to expand their commercial presence accordingly.
Though there’s already a Jugofresh location in Sunset Harbour, at 1935 West Ave., Suite 102, sources tell New Times the duo has a new concept brewing for a space in a different part of the complex, on Bay Road.

TheRealDeal.com reported that Sherman would open a 2,000-square-foot vegan restaurant and market onsite, but a rep for Sherman and Laszlo told Short Order it’s not a Jugofresh.
Will you step up to support New Times this year?
At New Times, we’re small and scrappy — and we make the most of every dollar from our supporters. Right now, we’re $17,800 away from reaching our December 31 goal of $30,000. If you’ve ever learned something new, stayed informed, or felt more connected because of New Times, now’s the time to give back.
In her words: “Matthew Sherman and Darren Laszlo have a concept brewing for that space.”
So we know it’s not a Jugofresh, but we don’t know much else.
Though the rep didn’t have anything else to divulge about the project, a rep for Scott Robins Companies, the site’s developer, told Short Order the new space is on Bay Road, separate from Jugofresh’s West Avenue location. It’s in the same complex as Ice Box Café and Chef Bee’s soon-to-open Thai restaurant, NaiYaRa.
A Sunbiz filing in Sherman’s name lists a Jugofresh Sunset Harbour at 1834 Bay Rd., Miami Beach.
We don’t know much more, but we can safely assume anything by this team will be healthful, innovative, and worth the wait.
