If you’re a drama queen, more than a little promiscuous, and make one hell of a mean au jus — you’ve got a job skill combo that might be a little hard to sell in the real world. But it is a perfect fit for one particular industry — reality TV.

Long since having abandoned the M in their acronym, MTV is going where the big bucks are these days — food. Their newest reality show, Food School, is now looking for amateur chefs for a Real World, Top Chef-esque mash-up competition show.

That’s right, the folks who brought you TV classics like The Hills, Punk’d and best of all, Jersey Shore, are now tackling the culinary landscape.

According to the press release and website, they’re seeking “amateur chefs, bakers and cooking enthusiasts of all kinds, with the biggest personalities and a fierce appetite for competition, to live under one roof and be schooled in the most intensive and practical culinary training, with mentorship by legendary food masters.”

The show also promises to “lead to the job of a lifetime and launch a career of epic proportions.”

So, it’s like The Real World, but with knives and garlic.

The application asks about cooking background, comfort level with kitchen skills, personality characteristics and lots of other telling details.
