Let’s put it this way: Fifty Shades of Grey, much like Real Housewives of New York City, Justin Bieber, or the KFC Double Down, is one of those pop culture phenomenons that we can’t wrap our heads around. If given the opportunity to spend the night with a controlling young businessman who wants to tie us up with electrical tape and neckties (worse yet — just read about it) or sample some free beer, we’re taking the beer.
Which is why we’re all about tonight’s free Fifty Shades of Dark beer tasting at Cervezas in South Miami, brought to you by the Grovetoberfest people. From 6 to 8 p.m., you’ll get to try a dozen dark beers. OK, it’s not quite 50, but a dozen beers still sound good to us.
These beers range in style from as smooth as the talk of a well-heeled man trying to seduce a college co-ed to as bitter as the tears of someone who actually shelled out money for their own copy of the Shades trilogy.
