Just one day after New Times revealed that the world’s most famous pizzeria from Italy was opening in Miami this year, another famed Italian spot is set to open here.
Italian import Il Mannarino is bringing its “butcher shop with a kitchen” restaurant model to the U.S., with an outpost opening in Midtown Miami, securing the final retail spot at the Standard Residences. The announcement was made earlier this week by Rosso Development, Standard International, and Midtown Development, and is targeting a Fall 2026 debut.
The idea is simple: guests select their cut directly from the butcher case before the kitchen prepares and serves it tableside. Positioning itself as a neighborhood butcher updated with dining, the company stresses supply chain ethics through its “Il Mannarino Regulations,” which adhere to the EU Farm to Fork principles.

From Milan to Miami
Founded in Milan in 2019 by Gianmarco Venuto and Filippo Sironi, Il Mannarino opened its first location, and it has grown to 22 locations in Italy in under a decade. The name comes from the mannarino, a traditional Italian butcher’s knife.
While a specific Miami menu hasn’t been released, it will likely mirror the menu found across the brand’s Italian locations.
The star of the menu is the bombette, a stuffed meat roll from Apulia made with pork neck, beef, or turkey.
These bites are filled with cheeses like caciocavallo or gorgonzola and finished with seasonings such as pistachio, charcoal, and rosemary. Flavor options range from the “Classic” and “Spicy” to rotating specials like the “bomb of the month.”

Expect Bombette, Charcuterie, and Plenty of Wine
The brand links bombette to the Valle d’Itria towns of Martina Franca and Cisternino, defining the name as a “small, intense bite.” Traditionally, pork neck is rolled with cheese and spices, then cooked in fornelli pugliesi, a neighborhood butcher shop equipped with ovens.
Beyond bombette, the selection features staples like arrosticini, traditional sausages such as Zampina di Sammichele, steaks galore, to sides like caponata and grilled vegetables. Options like cheeses, charcuterie, burrata, and pastas round out the menu, alongside an Italian-leaning drink list.
This deal fills the final available retail space at the project, marking a 100 percent retail lease-up. The restaurant plan remains broad: guests will have the option to dine in or purchase cuts for home cooking, guided by the butcher.
