At stake are a chance to win a trip to NYC for two, swag bags, prizes, and bragging rights as the “Winner of the Manhattan Experience.”

Shooting up to represent Miami is Ezra Pattek, partner of Bar Lab Catering — a new venture from the same fellows that “Mix Shit Up” at the W Hotel.

Entries will be judged based on taste, ingredients, creativity, presentation and, of course, the use Woodford Reserve. Pattek’s entry? His own peach tea-infused vermouth, almond and clove syrup, and homemade spiced bitters.

The competition is due to take place on January 10. So it’s just a matter of days before he heads north to shake up his goods and show the world Miami’s got some barmen worth reckoning.
