Have you seen this month’s issue of Edible South Florida, featuring a seminude Dr. Richard Campbell, senior tropical fruit curator at Fairchild Tropical Botanic Garden, lounging in a bathtub full of mangoes? Paula Niño wrote about it yesterday, but we didn’t realize he was actually soaking in a sea of mangoes until Eater pointed it out.
Kudos to Edible for the gutsy image, because risqué covers are usually found only on, well, New Times.
Campbell’s cover isn’t simply sensational, though. The issue is devoted to the tropical fruit he loves so much, as well as helping promote this weekend’s International Mango Festival at Fairchild. We are sure the ladies are lining up to get their copies signed.
