$7,500

Coconut Grove doesn’t get nearly enough love, particularly amongst foodies. But now Miami’s artsy enclave is earning a little edible attention with this week’s Dishcrawl.

The culinary crawl will lead eaters to four different eateries, where they’ll nosh on three specialties per spot. While the locales are top secret, we got word that Timo’s at the Villa Mayfair is the first stop along the route. And for $45, you can join the fun and find out the rest.

“On every Dishcrawl, someone will usually comment that they never realized that restaurant existed or someone will say they plan on returning to one of the restaurants,” says Dishcrawl’s Miami guru, Vicky Kei. “Our goal is to promote local businesses and bring people into restaurants on slower nights so they can meet the management, taste the food and get a better idea of what the concept of the restaurant is. We provide restaurants with the opportunity to showcase their food and space and gain future customers.”

And for the herbivorous out there, you’re more than welcome to join. When purchasing tickets, just mention your vegetarian designation and they’ll accommodate.

The Miami Dishcrawl crew has hit up Brickell and Midtown thus far, and will undoubtedly be venturing into every other Miami ‘hood as the months progress. Some events have seen as many as 50 participants, and they’ve eaten at spots including Pride and Joy, Fado Irish Pub, Bonding and Atrio.

Tickets for Wednesday’s Coconut Grove crawl run $45 per person (plus $3.24 processing fee) and you can pick ’em up online. The crawls are rain or shine, so this time of year, come prepared for stormy weather.
