The Doral Farmers Market was started by three neighbors who grew weary of having to travel to other markets around town for fresh local produce. They worked to pass a new ordinance with the City of Doral, then filed all the necessary paperwork to host a market there. The fruits of their heroic efforts, as well as the vegetables, will be available starting this Saturday, October 31st, and every following Saturday, until the end of April — there are 17 confirmed vendors, and they expect to heve close to the 25 limit “by showtime”.

This week’s opening market will feature entertainment by the Meridian Ensemble. Festivities run from 9:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m.
Locale: 10311 NW 58th St., Doral — on the grounds of Divine Savior Academy. 305-597-4545.
