Doraku, home to everyone’s favorite happy hour, is opening a second Florida location in Mary Brickell Village.

According to the manager of the SoBe location, the lease was just signed this week and not much information is available aside from the fact that Doraku will occupy the former Abokado space.

The new Doraku has a planned December 2011 opening and will likely start out with the same menu as the Miami Beach location until management gets a feel for the neighborhood. No word yet whether that fantastic happy hour will be transferred along with the lychee martinis, but we’re keeping our fingers crossed.

Owner Kevin Aoki also owns Doraku in Waikiki, Hawaii, and plans to open

additional restaurants in Honolulu and Kuala Lumpur. If the name sounds

familiar, it’s because Aoki is the son of famed Benihana creator, Rocky

Aoki.
