Chef Cindy Hutson is expanding her Miami presence with the announcement of the opening of her latest concepts, Zest and Zest Mrkt.

The restaurant, set to open this fall or winter, will be located inside Miami’s iconic Southeast Financial Center, at 200 S. Biscayne Blvd. The 1.225-million-square-foot building is Florida’s largest office tower and plaza. Tenants of the megacenter include the Knight Foundation, InterContinental Hotel Group, and Porsche Latin America.

Zest joins other eateries, including Spris and the Cheese Course, in the skyscraper’s plaza.

Zest will incorporate Asian, South American, and Caribbean influences for its lunch and dinner offerings. The 3,500-square-foot restaurant will feature a centralized open kitchen, outdoor seating for 75, and a private dining room that accommodates up to 30 guests. The restaurant also will boast a glass-walled wine cellar.

In addition, Zest Mrkt will offer fast grab-and-go breakfast and lunch items, including fresh juices, smoothies, sandwiches, and coffee.

Hutson’s Ortanique restaurants feature the chef’s signature “cuisine of the sun,” which is inspired by the Caribbean and Florida. There are three locations, in Grand Cayman, Harbour Island, and Coral Gables. The Gables’ Ortanique on the Mile is celebrating a milestone 15th year.

Chef Hutson is looking forward to expanding her Miami horizons, saying “the opportunity to be a part of the exciting growth of the epicenter of downtown Miami is a perfect addition to our portfolio of culinary offerings.”
