Some 12 chefs came together last night at the InterContinental Miami to
raise funds for International Firefighters Assistance in Chefs with a
Purpose: Haiti, hosted by Channel 4 and the InterContinental. While
some of the toques advertised, like Tim Andriola and Cindy Hutson, were
not in the room, there were plenty of good bites from chefs like Clay
Conley, Jonathan Eismann, Johnny Vincenz, Gerdy Rodriguez and
Gibraltar’s Jeff O’Neill. And it was for a good cause.
One hundred percent of the proceeds went to International Firefighters Assistance, which was founded by West Palm Beach firefighter Nathaniel Lasseur to train Haitian fire service and civilians. Since there are only two fire stations in the entire country, the group is also in the process of forming a volunteer fire station.
Here’s the evening in pictures.
