New Times received this email, which was sent to numerous folks, from Jason Smith, the talented chef de cuisine of Table 8:
“Yesterday was my last day at Table 8 South Beach. I have resigned and
left in good standing. I have accepted the position of chef de cuisine
of the Starr-restaurant “W” in Ft. Lauderdale. I had an incredible two-and-a-half
years at Table 8 and Chef Govind Armstrong had a very strong influence
on my career. He is an incredible chef and owner and person, and I
will miss him and Josh dearly.”
Table 8 has tapped Ilde Ferrer to run the kitchen.
