Howie Kleinberg is no stranger to television. After all, he gained star status and his nickname from his stint on Top Chef Miami in 2007, along with Nemesis Urban Bistro’s Micah Edelstein and Catch’s Hung Huynh. Kleinberg, of course, is the chef/owner of Bulldog Barbecue and Burger.
Kleinberg moves from Miami to the deep South when he tackles BBQ Pitmasters this Sunday, July 28, on Destination America.
In the episode entitled O-Cue-Homa, Kleinberg “pits” his ‘cue against Robbie Royal of Rescue Smokers from Syracuse, Georgia and Jack Waiboer of Common Interest in Charleston, South Carolina at the Bixby BBQ and Blues Festival.
Can a city-slicker Miami boy hold his own against the South’s pitmasters? We’ll just have to tune in to find out:
