Mary Brickell Village’s Blu Pizza e Cucina is closed “for renovation.” Yeah, we know what that typically means in restaurant speak.
Calls to the restaurant’s listed phone number yielded a ‘temporarily out of service’ message. So we dialed Blu Restaurant Group’s offices, where office manager Maggie Nabut confirmed that the Brickell restaurant is permanently closed due to lower than expected sales.
So there. Never trust those “closed for renovation” signs.
Oh, yes, the group’s
two other restaurants — Sole Trattoria and Blu, La Trattoria del Sole
in South Miami — are still open and well.
