We interrupt our coverage of $100 dinners, fancy wine tastings and being generally blessed to remind you (and ourselves) of just how lucky we are to live in Miami (and the United States).

While we’re living the “good life” (and pretty much even with recession, unemployment and a general malaise of the economy we’re still on the high side), millions of children and adults are starving in the East African nations of Kenya, Somalia, Ethiopia, and Djibouti.

According to CNN, as many as ten million people could be affected by this drought.

So what can we do to help the plight of these people, many of whom are abandoning their homes to walk hundreds of miles to overcrowded United Nations refugee camps?

Take

the money you would have spent on a latte and buy a Bob Marley

download. Save The Children, the international organization that helps

kids in impoverished countries, has set up the site imgonnabeyourfriend.org. On it, you can download the special re-release of the Bob Marley song High Tide or Low Tide or make a donation through PayPal.
