1555 Washington Ave., Miami Beach

The Hours: Monday – Friday, 4 p.m. – 7 p.m.
The Deal: Get half-off all domestic beers and wells. Happy hour also overlaps with the daily evening specials that begin at 5 p.m. Specials include a 1/2 lb. beef brisket with a side for $9.99 (Thursdays) and all-you-can-eat spare ribs with two sides for $18.95 (Fridays.) Daily drink deals include $8 Bud pitchers, 2-for-$12 margaritas, and buckets starting at $15.
The Scene: Bar-B-Que Beach is a deceivingly large sports bar and BBQ restaurant. This spot feels like it should actually be on the beach’s edge; the only thing really missing in its sea-side theme is sand. The interior goes for a wooden shack feel, complete with standing fans and mini palm trees. The bar area has multiple flat screens and features a ton of Gator Nation memorabilia (it’s unfortunate, we know.) The most charming touch is a window nook right by the sole pool table.
The Conclusion: If you happen to be wandering around South Beach and are not in the mood for a pretentious drink, this is the place to swing by. Truthfully, I was a little hesitant to go in given the somewhat cheesy marketing, but the open-air feel eventually grew on me.
