With Miami’s gourmet scene on this rise, cooking classes have
also become more popular over the years. Novice chefs are driving all over the
county to learn how to roll pasta, debone chicken and make naan.
At her East Kendall home, Ayesha D’Mello teaches students
the secrets of Indian cooking. Because the Indian-born instructor’s classes
have been sold-out for months, D’Mello recently added three new sessions to satisfy
all of the foodies out there. The additional lessons take place in April and
include Vegetarian Delights (4/11), All About Indian Breads (4/18) and Dinner
on the Spice Route (4/25). Each $75 class runs from 12 to 3 p.m. and includes hands-on
instruction and a sit-down meal.
