Anthony Bourdain is at it again!  Not content to have just a television deal with CNN and a book publishing deal with Ecco, the celebrity chef is working on a new reality cooking competition show for ABC.

Bourdain has paired with Nigella Lawson for the as-yet-untitled show (the catchy working title is Exciting New Cooking Show), which will feature the two chefs mentoring contestants toward victory.  Hmmm….sounds a little like The Voice with knives.

ABC is currently casting for the show and they’re looking for both professionals and amateurs who know their way around the kitchen. According to the website:

“If you have the passion and talent for cooking, whether you are a

restaurateur, executive chef, sous chef, line cook, culinary student or

home cook — you are encouraged to apply! We are on a nationwide search

for all types of cooks from all backgrounds with range of cooking

styles. Whether you cook fine French cuisine or prefer a great tasting

burger, we want to hear from you.”

You have to be a U.S. resident, 18 years of age or older. More

restraining order issued against you. You must also be willing to submit

to a medical examination, psychological examination and background

check, if requested.

If you’re relatively normal, can cook, and have never stalked anyone,

this might be the opportunity of a lifetime. So far, open calls are

only scheduled in Los Angeles, New York, and Chicago, but you are

encouraged to send in a video.

Here’s Tony and Nigella telling you a little (very little) about the new show:
