The popular South Beach pub, at 1115 16th Street, has developed a large and loyal following over many years, and apparently it is being forced to close down because the building it is located in has been sold. A person answering the phone at Abbey told Short Order that “It’s not official yet”, and that he can’t give any comment until he has spoken with his attorneys. He wouldn’t give his name or say if he was the owner. “That’s all I can say,” he said before hanging up the phone on us.
