Imagine Tobacco Road as a human being. He (or she) has sold baked goods, illegal booze, played cards with gangsters, sheltered hookers, hosted dance parties, served cocktails, grilled burgers, had tomato fights, and listened to some of the best blues and rock music on the planet. Tobacco Road is celebrating the end to a long and exciting life tomorrow, October 25, at the Last Call party. Starting at 8 p.m., fans of the Road can listen to live music as they relive some pretty good memories.

Will you step up to support New Times this year?

At New Times, we’re small and scrappy — and we make the most of every dollar from our supporters. Right now, we’re $17,000 away from reaching our December 31 goal of $30,000. If you’ve ever learned something new, stayed informed, or felt more connected because of New Times, now’s the time to give back.

Like a phoenix rising from its ashes, Tobacco Road plans to reopen at a nearby location in Brickell, but there’s history in these walls. From secret rooms to legendary musicians, the Road has seen it all — and these guys are happy to share its stories.

If you want one last selfie with Tobacco Road, the party starts tomorrow at 8 p.m., with a final last call at around 4:45 a.m. Sunday. Admission is $10 or donate a minimum $25 to their Kickstarter campaign and score a free ticket.
