Ownership changes to the Eden Roc Hotel have affected 1500 Degrees restaurant.
According to a manager, the hotel, which is now called Eden Roc Destination Hotels & Resorts, will retain its farm to table concept, but will undergo a name change — and chef changes.

Executive chef Paula DaSilva has left the restaurant to return to 3030 Ocean in Fort Lauderdale, where she started her upward career trajectory under the tutelage of chef Dean James Max in 2000. Earlier this month, Max announced he was breaking ties with the restaurant after creating the concept 14 years ago.
According to a restaurant manager, Marriott owns the name 1500 Degrees and Destination Hotels & Resorts is leasing the name for about a month, after which they have to change it. The hotel is also looking for a signature chef to take over the reigns in the kitchen.
