The lights are about to go out for Miami's favorite serial killer. At least as far as TV time. Today, Showtime released the trailer for Dexter's eighth and final season -- and it looks like it's gonna be a blood-soaked doozy.

The trailer shows Deb falling into disrepair, guilt over LaGuerta, Dexter confronting a brilliant expert on psychopaths -- and a whole lot of standard stabbiness and blood spatter. Check it out after the jump.

As the series comes to a close, will they kill off the complex killer that captured America's hearts? Or will he ride off into the South Florida sunset to continue slicing and dicing? Let the speculations begin.

The season premiere airs on Showtime on Sunday, June 30 at 9 p.m. ET/PT.
