The weekend is upon us once more and so we’ve rounded up some of the best things happening around town. There are some great distractions from holiday planning and last minute shopping: Borscht Film Festival dominates the weekend, but there’s also dance, snow, Frozen, and punk. Happy weekend, everyone.

Friday:

  • Teo Castellanos’ Fat Boy at Adrienne Arsht Center: Choreographer Castellanos revives and revises his acclaimed 2011 production. Read more about Castellanos’ long and interesting career here.

  • Frozen Fridays at Bunniecakes: Vegan cupcakes and Frozen costumes for the child who can’t let it go.

  • Outside the Box at YoungArts: Part of this year’s Borscht Film Festival, the Borscht boys will set up what they call “the Multiverse,” a “DIY sketch of a theme park.”
  • Miami Heat vs. Washington Wizards at American Airlines Arena: Sports!
  • Borscht Dickie Ride at Gramps: Bring your bicycle and ride to various locations for drink specials and secret screenings. The trail begins at Gramps and stops at various Borscht events.
