It was only a matter of time before the Wynwood Arts District got its very own fashion week, and that time is now. Well, this Wednesday anyway. Produced by Miss Modesty, the inaugural Wynwood Fashion Collective is an all-day fashion show featuring local boutiques and designers. “We’re trying to bring awareness to the Wynwood art scene and highlight fashion as an art form,” event organizer Jessica Martinez says.

Hosted at Hangar Gallery (2235 NW Second Ave., Miami), the Wynwood Fashion Collective is an opportunity to not only discover trends and local designers but also shop. See something you like on the runway? Signal one of the young ladies walking around with iPads and let her know. The sale can be made then and there. Choose from accessories and accent pieces from Open Lotus, swimwear from Berjheny, shoes and purses from Chris and Mars, and attire from Well Tied. The show goes till midnight, with food vendors and liquor sponsors onsite to keep you sated. With the $150 VIP Fashion Icon ticket, you can snag a front-row seat alongside Miami’s top fashion bloggers and influencers, or settle for second row for $89. Fashion lovers can purchase general admission tickets for $25 online at wynwoodfashioncollective.com or $35 at the door. Don’t forget to dress to impress.

Sat., Dec. 13, 10 a.m.-10 p.m., 2014
