Winter Music Conference is right around the corner, but local nightlife lovers are in for a treat right now. Brazilian disco-heads the Twelves will make a very rare appearance on the carpet at Bardot (3456 N. Miami Ave., Miami) this Saturday. If you frequent the nocturnal corners of the city, chances are you’ve boogied to the Twelves. They’re your favorite DJ’s favorite thing to play. Beloved for their deliciously danceable remixes and edits, the duo has tried its hand at La Roux’s “In the Kill,” the Virgins’ “Rich Girls,” and Two Door Cinema Club’s “Something Good Can Work,” among others. All production credits aside, what really sets the Twelves apart are their live performances. They not only mix your favorite songs but also perform them in a whole new way, delivering spontaneous musicality and energy with each performance. Residents of Rio de Janeiro, they don’t make their way stateside often and haven’t performed in Miami since November 2012. Just make sure you wear your good shoes, because you’ll be getting down to the fullest. The show starts at 10 p.m., and tickets cost $20. Call 305-576-5570 or visit bardotmiami.com.
Sat., March 1, 10 p.m., 2014
