This Tuesday at 7 p.m., Wynwood’s Charest-Weinberg Gallery will pop the cork on “Herd Thinner,” a bleeding-edge exhibit curated by the Big Apple’s David Hunt and featuring the work of more than a dozen artists who will be on hand for the launch of Art Basel week. It offers a dark vision of what Hunt calls “an artist-dominated middle future,” or what sounds to us like a catastrophe of the Mayan-calendar kind for those unlucky enough to miss his cerebral soiree. Entrance is free.
