“Wine education” sounds so much better than “wine guzzling,” don’t you agree? But whether you want to educate your taste buds or just give them a high-quality buzz, local wine maven Barry Albert can help with his weekly wine tastings at Angelo & Maxie’s Steakhouse in the Mayfair Hotel & Spa in Coconut Grove. This Friday, April 24, and every Friday from 7 to 9 p.m. there will be a themed selection of Old and New World wines to taste, plus platters of domestic and imported cheeses, all for the modest tariff of $15 per person. And if a little curd isn’t enough to sop up all that wine education, A&M’s 26-ounce ribeye ought to do the trick.
