What’s soft, gray, and salaciously slurp-able? No, not that. The million-dollar answer: oysters! And what better time for mollusk gluttons to get their freak on than after eight hours of staring at the wall of their cubicle — or watching their assistant stare at the wall of her cubicle. Manny’s Steakhouse is glamorizing recession processions by serving up free happy-hour half-shells from 4 to 7 p.m. every Friday at Oyster Fest.

Because you’ll be saving on the grub, you’ll have more cash to quench your wine craving while drinking in the view of Biscayne Bay. There are bottles of Chassagne Montrachet Rouge as well as New Zealand and Cali Sauvignon Blanc for less than $100. And if vino is not your thing, there are plenty of cocktails, such as the El Diablo margarita, or you can always slurp that baby bivalve with a draft beer.
