If you love bikinis, basketball, or women who get into both, Christmas has come early for you this year. The Miami Spice Bikini Basketball team has chosen its roster, and we’re serving up photos and interviews of 12 of its newly named members. Consider it our Christmas gift to you.

For Camreon Dyer, basketball is a family affair. This California girl has been shooting hoops since she was seven, and her sister’s another on-court phenom who almost made it to the WNBA.

Raised in Sacramento, Dyer made her way to Dallas for high school, then on to the University of New Orleans for college and showcased her baller abilities in both cities. After graduation, she relocated to Miami. “It’s beautiful there, I figured I could clear my head and find what I wanted to do next.”

And now the Magic City is about to get a load of her moves.

In high school and college she played post only, but for Miami Spice she’ll be playing small forward and power forward. “They also have me as a shooting guard because I have a bit of a temper,” Dyer laughs.

“Basically I see myself as one of the leaders. I’m really older than a lot of the girls and I own my own business, I’m a little bit more structured that some of the other girls,” Dyer says of her role on the team. “We’ve all gotta work on teamwork so I just try to make sure that we all are together and on time and everything.”

In addition to her spot on the Miami Spice, Dyer serves up New Orleans-style snowballs (like snow cones, but better) to Miamians in need of a little somethin’ sweet.

“My dad’s from New Orleans and snow cones were a big thing there, so I had to bring that to Miami and show Miamians how to get that flavor,” she says. You can find her spot, CNO Snowballs at 145 E Flagler St.

So what are her plans for 2013?

“I know with basketball we’re gonna start practicing a lot after New Year’s, so I don’t have to worry about getting in shape or losing weight,” Dyer says.

She is, however, giving up soda. Looks like she’ll have to get her fill of sweetness from her shop – and the attention of all her new fans, natch.
