$7,500

You might call her “Angel of the Morning,” but did you know Juice Newton is also an accomplished equestrian and polo player? Oh yes, she can sing and ride with the best of them, and you can catch the “Queen of Hearts” at this weekend’s Islamorada Island Festival. The two-day fete includes food booths from local restaurants, a hot-air balloon demo, and expert tips for superior sandcastle construction. There is also a Paint the Dolphin activity for the kids and a doggie fun zone for your furry friends. The festival runs from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. today and Sunday (when Juice hits the stage) at Founders Park.

Also in the Keys this weekend is the Marathon Offshore Grand Prix. The loud and fast boats will whiz past the Middle Keys today and Sunday beginning at 1:00 p.m. Admission is free for general viewing at Sunset Park, Mile Marker 47. Visit www.keysoffshore.com for details.

Sat., May 20, 10 a.m.-5 p.m.
