Keep Miami New Times Free
We’re aiming to raise $7,500 by April 26. Your support ensures New Times can continue watching out for you and our community. No paywall. Always accessible. Daily online and weekly in print.
Your typical trip to South Beach usually includes some liver-damaging binge drinking, walking long blocks in uncomfortable shoes, and the consumption of artery-clogging, scrumptious slices of pizza. But today and tomorrow, sinful SoBe is offering atonement for you, your family, and anyone else who might be in need of a little healing. And no, we’re not talking about a world-famous Call-a-Cab from Wet Willie’s. It’s the NBC6 Health & Fitness Expo: a mishmash of vendors, healthcare professionals, and live demonstrations, all for the benefit of your well-being, at the Miami Beach Convention Center.
Whether you want to learn how to cook more nutritious meals, live a “greener” life, or salsa those pounds off of your thighs, the resources will be at your fingertips. So donate some blood, let a homeless pooch lick your hand, get your financial health evaluated — we promise you’ll thank us. Services such as teeth-whitening are discounted, but rock-climbing, aerobics, and other activities are as free as your body will feel once you give it some much-needed TLC, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
