Miami is a city known for its transience. In this town, nightclubs turn over as fast as soiled bed sheets in a hooker’s hotel room. Thankfully, locals remain loyal to worthwhile institutions, and after a brief summer vacation, one of Miami’s longest-standing underground dance parties returns with the best in deep house music. This Friday, for one night only, Aquabooty will take over the Electric Pickle to team up with West Coast DJ Marques Wyatt, creator of L.A.’s legendary dance party, DEEP. Wyatt is a promoter, producer, and innovator of deep, soulful house music. His parties have introduced artists such as Jamiroquai and the Brand New Heavies onto the scene, and he spins regularly alongside talented artists such as Frankie Knuckles, Louie Vega, and David Morales. Don’t get caught beneath the “Vacancy” sign.
