Last summer you blamed “karma” (and your cheating ex-lover) for that weird rash on your bum. But this year you’re gonna thank that bitch for giving you more energy, increased flexibility, and a bangin’ body after an hour of Karma Yoga at the Sports Club LA/Miami.
So what’s so karmic about this yoga? “The idea for the name came from the Sports Club; it was the idea of doing something good for yourself while helping others,” says Erika Mayor-Diaz, director of public relations for the American Red Cross of Greater Miami and the Keys. Beginning at 6:00 p.m., the Young Professionals of the Red Cross (YPRC) will put a feel-good twist on your typical downward dog, and after the class, you can nosh on goodies from Eggwhites Catering and take home swag from athletic outfitter Lululemon. Tickets cost $20 for YPRC members, $30 for nonmembers, but it’s all in the name of charity. To RSVP, call 305-728-2517 or visit www.miamiredcross.org/yprc.
