When last we caught up with Barbadian singer-songwriter Jason Fitzroy Jeffers, he was in a transitional period — trying to figure out where his musical compass would lead him. Thankfully the creative muse has returned and he’s once again hitting the local performance circuit.
Tonight he’ll perform with avant-garde, ambient rock experimentalists Out of the Anonymous at The News Lounge which is located just opposite Andiamo on 55th Street and NE 4th Court.
“Together, we’ll stick our finger in the wind and channel the crazy frequencies at work in our social and political atmposphere at the moment. My friends, these are strange, scary, yet opportune days, but I don’t think I have to tell you that…” says Fitzroy.
Fans should expect lots of new material, and improvisational sounds courtesy of OOTA.
