In the almost thirty years since the launch of the red couch, Wackerbarth has photographed and interviewed over 600 people in over 33 countries and in 32 different languages. His subjects range from celebrities to dignitaries, famous artists, politicians, musicians — even Romanian street children.
When the world famous Red Couch makes its inaugural exhibition here at the Wolfgang Roth & Partners Fine Art gallery, local Miami figures such as Dr. Donna Shalala, Dean of the University of Miami, Craig Robins, Developer and Art collector, children of Overtown, artists and other Miami staples such as “Mr. Clucky” with his infamous rooster and cross dresser/drag queen Adora, will be part of the video and photography project.
