Keep Miami New Times Free
We’re aiming to raise $7,500 by April 26. Your support ensures New Times can continue watching out for you and our community. No paywall. Always accessible. Daily online and weekly in print.
Traditionally, Wednesdays are a social dead zone. So you’ve got a routine: Cozy up at home and sip a little white wine while obsessively browsing online personal ads or watching excessive amounts of TV. Then, when that gets boring, it’s bedtime. Two tokes of Maryjane and you’re out like nightlights!
Well, no more. Yours is an increasingly creepy and sad situation that needs to change right now. From here on out, midweek means party, and party means Purdy Lounge (1811 Purdy Ave., Miami Beach), where the (786) bash routinely rescues folks lost in a thick fog of funlessness. Led by DJs Ray Milian, Joshy Josh, and DJPJ, your therapy will include copious amounts of cheap alcohol, new wave/indie/dance/psychedlia/pop tunes, and live acts such as past guests Panic Bomber and metal-disco duo Bandits. This is the road to recovery.
